Volunteer to take Hotline Calls

The Hotline is an answering service that takes phone calls 24/7 from anyone seeking help with their alcohol problem. The answering service takes down the caller’s contact information including their city/town and tells them that they should get a call back within 15 minutes. The answering service then contacts an AA volunteer from a list in the caller’s district. The Hotline segments the list by district so that the caller is matched with someone in their local community. They match men with men and women with women. It is recommended that a Hotline volunteer have two years of continuous sobriety.
